About the Beer Garden
Why Volunteer?
Every year, and twice a year, the Fountain Hills VFW Post 7507 Beer Garden, as part of the larger
Fountain Hills Festival of Fine Arts and Crafts, raises critical funds that support veterans, widows,
families in need, and community programs. Our all-volunteer force is made up of our combat veteran
members, other veterans, and our patriotic friends and family members. Our Beer Garden is a familyfriendly, picnic-style, open-air event with live music that welcomes ALL. To keep this event strong,
safe, and successful, we rely on dedicated volunteers who want to give back in a meaningful way.

Physical Requirements (Important)
The Beer Garden is a busy, high-energy environment requiring volunteers who are physically able to:
We are specifically seeking **healthy, mobile adults** who can perform active tasks safely and confidently.
- Stand and move for extended periods
- Lift and carry items (10–30+ lbs.)
- Navigate crowded areas, electrical cords, equipment, and tents
- Safely use steps into and out of the refrigerated truck
- Work around grills, propane, hot surfaces, and hot liquids
Who We're Looking For
1. Must be physically mobile and able to work safely in an active environment
2. Comfortable lifting cases of beverages and supplies
3. Able to follow safety instructions and work as part of a team
1. Rotary, Lions, Kiwanis
2. Adult church groups
3. Business employee volunteer team
4. Booster clubs
5. Community service organizations
NOTE :- due to alcohol and equipment, youth assistance is limited during active service hours.
Get Involved
Volunteer Roles
1. Setup Crew
- Loading and unloading heavy gear in and out of trailer trucks
- 20+ Tent staging
- 80+ Table and 300+ chair setup
- Kitchen, bar, bandstand, merchandise and MC area setup
- Stocking coolers and supplies
- Light to Heavy equipment movement
2. Food Support
- Assisting cooks: chopping, boiling and grilling brats and hot dogs, making chili
- Serving food
- Cashier Service
- Waiter/Waitress service
- Handling packaged items
- Restocking stations
- Maintaining a safe prep area
3. Beverage Support
- Stocking soda, beer, and wine
- Supporting bartenders behind the line (“Barback”)
- Serving Beer, Wine, Mixed Drinks
- Bartender roles, making and serving mixed drinks
- Carrying cases safely to/from refrigerated truck
4. Tear-Down Crew
- Cleanup
- Dis-assembly of tents, chairs, and tables
- Loading light to very heavy equipment into trailers with lift-gates
- Packing supplies
- Unloading trailer items to building storage spaces
